Marvin Cohen, #MFT41362
What I do:
I teach classes, and counsel/coach individuals, couples, and groups to have successful
lives and life partnerships by helping them increase their awareness, identify,
and clarify their purpose and passion, and develop a plan to manifest the life
and relationship they want. I also provide therapy to help clients overcome obstacles
in their path toward reaching their goals.
My Mission:
My mission is to direct myself and others towards a life filled with peace and
love. I do this by working with clients on basic skills such as asking for what
they want, saying no to what they don't want, letting go of assumptions, personalization,
and attachment, and helping people achieve self acceptance, authenticity, peace,
and love.
Professional:
I began my career in Marketing and Sales in the High Tech Medical Electronics
Industry, and worked my way up to General Management. After 25 years in the field,
I found myself job hopping, unhappy, and disillusioned. I recognized that I loved
working with subordinates, peers, and other executives on managerial and work
related relationship issues, and began doing what was dubbed (at the time) executive
or managerial coaching. I met and joined David Steele and LifePartnerQuest (now
Relationship Coaching Institute) as a partner in November 1997, studied coaching
at several schools, took over RCISV, and co-authored the workbook "Relationship
Success Training for Singles". I then returned to school to get my
Masters in Counseling Psychology to better prepare me to live my vision, offering
both coaching and therapy.
