- “DOUBLE VISION: Men, Woman and Expectations”
- With: Marty Friedman, M.A.
- Does a "commitment" mean the same to men and women?
- Do you expect your partner to change-or stay the same?
- Do your expectations for intimacy and communication crash and burn with the opposite sex?
- Does a sexual "connection" mean the same thing to a man as it does to a woman?
We all want a loving relationship. But men expect different things from a relationship than women, and these differences in expectations can cause a lot of trouble if they aren't known or acknowledged. Come join us for a fun, interactive exploration of male and female desires, needs and fears in love relationships.
Both singles and couples will benefit from tonight's presentation.

Review of this program:
Thanks to all who made my April 23rd RCI presentation "Double Vision: Men, Women and Expectations" a great success! We had a lot of fun exploring how men and women see relationships differently. Here's a short overview of what we covered:
- The old equation for marriage and relationships, which lasted for several thousand years.
- The new equation, which emphasizes individual growth and emotional autonomy, intimacy and love.
- "A" relationships vs. "H" relationships.
- Through an experiential exercise we revealed some of men's fears about commitment--and women's, too!
- Another exercise brought a discussion about the how men and women see "talking about the relationship" differently.
- Finally, men and women explored together the extent to which they expected to change--or to have their partners change--in a relationship.
- It was a great time!
Women are very much invited to my seminar "If Women Only Knew" on May 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Residence Inn by Marriott at 4460 El Camino in Los Altos. Here are some of the topics we'll cover:
- Understand the Mind of Men in Long-Term Relationships
- Create More Intimacy With Men
- Influence A Man to Listen Better and Talk More
- Get More Cooperation and Less Resistance
- Learn How to Stay Together for the Long Haul
- Discover How to Motivate Your Man
Best regards to all!
