- “The 5 Keys to Mindful Loving”
- With: Soraya Khalili - Personal, Business, and Master Certified Relationship Coach
It's been said that all of us want to love and be loved. Whether or not you're in a relationship right now, you may not be feeling the love or as loved as you'd like. Can you imagine loving yourself, your partner, and others unconditionally? And, can you imagine having your desires for an intimate relationship actually be fulfilled? It's not only a possibility, it's totally within your reach!
It starts with healthy relating --- and learning to communicate in a way that is safe, supportive, and satisfying is absolutely essential to relationship success. As many of us, you may have experienced relationship difficulties and feel unable or uncomfortable communicating your needs and wants so that it fosters connection. The kinds of actions and behaviors noted below can get in the way of what we really want and often make situations worse.
Have you ever:
- Ignored somebody you cared for or have you been ignored by them?
- Feared getting "too close" to someone special or have they feared it?
- Been frustrated by another's attempts to "make you over" to meet their needs?
- Experienced criticisms, selfishness, and abusive behaviors?
- Tried to manipulate or control someone else or has it happened to you?
During this evening, Soraya Khalili will be drawing upon the works of David Richo, author of "How to be an Adult in Relationships". Through lecture, discussion and brief exercises, we'll explore how mindfulness and "The 5 Keys to Mindful Loving" can greatly enhance your relationships and empower you to love yourself and others more easily and gracefully. By simply adding these practices to your relationship toolbox, you can transform your experience of loving and being loved!
